We spent 7 wonderful days at this incredible property. The house is extremely private yet just a few minutes from Bocas Town. It’s difficult to describe just how relaxing this environment is. You can jump right off the deck and snorkel on the reef right in front of the house. You can literally sit in the rocking chairs and watch schools of tropical fish swim by. We saw dolphins a few yards from the house on several days, and you can hear the howler monkeys in the distant jungle. You have complete privacy, yet Arcelio (the caretaker) is quite accessible and very attentive to your needs. The interior of the house is made of solid wood and is just gorgeous. Arcelio also makes it very easy for you to get to town by providing two trips per day into town as part of the property rental. I highly recommend this property.
My girlfriend and I stayed here with another couple and absolutely loved it. The house is wonderfully set right on top of the crystal clear bay with views across the water of the island. You can dive off the front porch into the incredibly warm water. Mark was amazing – he was incredibly helpful during our stay in pointing us in the right direction for what to do for the day given our mood. We were in Panama for the first time with all the benefits of having a local guide. Highly recommended.
My wife, myself and 2 other couples stayed here for a week in March. We had a great time. The house is truly unbelievable. We spent most of our time snorkeling around the house where we saw many fish and other sea creatures. The owners also help arrange daily trips. Nearby is a totally amazing beach with numerous amounts of Starfish. We are planning to come back next year. DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE!
I was here with 4 friends in Mid-February. Fabulous house–great place to relax. We really felt like we “lucked” out. The house is a short boat ride away from Bocas Town to go out to dinner, etc. , but we were very content to buy lobsters right from our deck (how convenient is that?) and have the option of eating at home. Really comfortable place. The fact that you can get fresh coconuts from the backyard is an added plus. Will DEFINITELY come back.
We spent most of our time in the water. Jumping off the deck will always be a very fond memory for us! Feeding and watching the fish was our entertainment, and we spent all of our time on the deck! It is perfectly quiet and you will get the best view of the stars at night…plus some great lightning shows too! Good snorkeling around the house, plus other good sites nearby. House is spacious, clean, full kitchen, comfortable beds and the washing machine comes in very handy! Owner was always available and the caretaker (in our case, Brown) really added to our trip. Went on a catamaran tour (saw dolphins) and then snorkeled some of the best sites I’ve ever been to. Bocas is an experience and an adventure. We loved OM Cafe very much! We enjoyed this house very much and would recommend it to anyone who loves the water and quiet!!
My idea of an out of the way vacation without being too far from civilization. It was one of the most beautiful places my wife and i have been.Great snorkleing,diving and boat trips.One of the high points was a 45 min trip by water to an indian village on an island near the mainland.Another was a jungle walk to see a beach property.We are 69 and 71 ,so it was still doable for “older” folks.Great support by owners and their agents,could not be nicer.The town accessable by boat only is very interesting,a lot of good eating places,especially Lemon Grass and Nine Degrees.WE have been there twice, once for 2 weeks past November and Jan. the year before.Looking forward to returning soon,Lord willing.
Absolutely fantastic, wife myself & two great freinds enjoyed wonderful week taking advantage of tranquility views &activities. loved shooting the breeze till late with me mate over bottle of rum, trips to town to enjoy local quisine, every thing you need on tap. like to think i’ll return one day.Great place to reflect on life and whats really important. pura vida.
We had a great stay at the Coral House. The location was incredible!! As all the reviews state you can jump right off the deck and snorkel all day long. We had a variety of floats and toys to play with to keep us more than entertained. The house is well equipped to cook meals and never leave. Antelino the help was great and was more than happy to accommodate us whenever we needed anything. We even caught dinner (variety of snapper!) one night and saved a trip to town. Great house and we will defiently be back asap. Probably one of the most relaxing places on earth. We miss sitting the deck with a cold beer fishing, watching the sun set, and spotting dolphins jumping in the distance. Can’t wait to return!
This house is the most peaceful place we could imagine – we sat for hours just watching the water, the fish, swimming, floating, and canoeing. The house is fully equipped with a kitchen (spices, etc. also), snorkel gear, floats, etc., so we had everything we needed to enjoy the scenery. The house is surrounded by mangroves, forest, and water – that’s it – no noise, people, buildings. Howler monkeys, jumping fish and birds were the only sounds. We may have felt isolated, except that the housekeeper (who lives out of sight on dry land) was available at any hour of the day to take us to town for a meal out, a night on the town, snorkeling, or to any of Bocas’ beautiful beaches. I think this is the best way to experience Bocas del Toro because you’ve got the beautiful, isolated surroundings and easy access to everything.
Coral View House, with its wraparound verandahs was stunning. Inside it was spacious, comfortable and fully equipped. A lot of thought had gone into the building of the house because it was airy and surprising cool. The setting was private and relaxing yet we didn’t feel cut off as Bocas town was just a few minutes boat ride away. The house,surrounded by the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean, provided us with great snorkeling, swimming, underwater photography, etc right off the deck. When we felt less active we snoozed in the hammock or sipped cocktails on the sun loungers and watched schools of colourful fish, dolphins or a couple of times a leopard ray go by. The sunsets were spectacular too. It was so peaceful. The only noise was from an occasional boat passing by or the Howler monkeys in the distant jungle. Sometimes the locals would….
Continued….paddle by in dug-out canoes to sell freshly caught lobsters. There were plenty of islands for us to explore in this archipelago. Too many adventures and not enough time! We enjoyed lots of fishing and shelling also. I can’t begin to list the places we visited suffice to say we were never disappointed. There were lots of great places to eat in Bocas. We could buy everything we needed there and it also had a well stocked pharmacy. On a Friday afternoon/Saturday the locals came into town and set up stalls and selling their artistic wares. It was a wonderful holiday. We are planning to return next year and hope Coral View house will be available again!
My family of 5 (including 3 teenage boys) stayed 3 nights in mid-August 2012. Service was very good. We were picked up from the airport in Bocas by management in a large van and taken straight to a grocery store to supply up for the first day or two. Then we boated out (less than 10 minutes from town) to the house. The views off the deck are amazing, both right in the water with thousands of fish as well as the mountains on the horizon. Although the house is a little rustic (ex. smallish with no AC rooms open to the outdoors, not a ton of comfortable seating, composting toilets, solar power, rain water supplied) it was a beautiful location, a peaceful and beautiful chill out spot and jumping off point. Note: we are not squeamish about the outdoors since we camp with Scouts a lot. Note: we did experience the no-see-ums around dusk each day – they….
Continued….itch/sting a bit, but were controlled with a little bug spray. Whenever we wanted to go into town or out on an excursion, we just dialed our cell phone (supplied by management) and within minutes Brown, our boat man, was there to quickly and safely transport us. We went snorkeling one day to Hospital Point and the Gardens (both nice in different ways) and we went scuba diving to a few sports(nice calm, warm water, but not fantastic sites, although we did see mooray eel, crabs, toad fish, squid and many more varieties). The boys loved jumping right off the deck into the water, as well as kayaking in the supplied kayaks around the house. My wife an I enjoyed kicking back on the deck with a cocktail. Also, per management’s recommendation, we ate at a local spot called Beso Del Dragon, right at the boat drop off….
Continued….point in town. The shrimp in garlic (camarones ajillo) and the fish stew was the best meal I had in two weeks in the country. Overall, I wish we would have stayed a bit longer, and I recommend Coral View house as a unique and natural experience, and not far from town.
This home superseded all my expectations. After landing in Boca del Toro, I suddenly realized I was in paradise taking in the breathtaking views. Approaching the home by boat, the seclusion and and privacy was amazing as the home stood in the water on the long uninhabited shoreline. Sitting on the porch I was able to take in breathtaking views of dolphins and stingray swimming in the ocean. The home was with in a short boat ride from some of the best restaurants the world has to offer. I can’t wait to come back again.
